My name is Jack Murray. I'm a 15-year-old elite-level athlete from Canada playing 1st division soccer in the Portuguese Youth Football system. I am also a motivational mindset and high-performance coach primarily for teen athletes.

Me in Frankfurt, Germany.
My aim is to help young people reach their goals, get rid of anxiety, and bounce back from difficult situations by teaching them the tools of positivity, perspective, courage, comeback strategies, and using inspiring analogies.
*“Jack is a fantastic Coach. From the bottom of my heart I say that his methods of gaining clarity and purpose about the goals your trying to achieve worked wonders for me! He really got me thinking about just exactly what I want to do to make a change in my life and how I can go about doing it. He gave tips right from the start and created such a non-judgmental space for me to talk. I would highly recommend him, he most definitely an expert in his field.”
I understand that life can be tough for teens. We are at this very unique point in our lives, trying to figure out who we are, and where we belong as well as being highly emotional and dealing with ever-changing feelings and self-esteem.
I'm passionate about helping teens overcome any challenges they might face. My goal is to empower them to live life as the best versions of themselves.

People have called me “Baby Yoda” because of my mindset and outlook on life.
Without getting into the whole story here, what a lot of people don’t know about me is that so much of my perspective and approach to life developed when I was young because I got really sick.

My 4th birthday. I asked for a “marry” cake, one with 2 people holding hands. My mom obliged!
For one year I suffered from a very debilitating, mystery illness and none of the doctors in Canada could find out what was wrong with me.
We saw a handful of specialists and my parents ended up traveling to the United States to get treatment. I still deal with it today.

I am a Brand Ambassador for Riobol - a great tool for all soccer players.
Looking back, when you are 4 years and all you want to do is play (or in my case kick a ball) and suddenly you are unable to do that and instead you have to go to tons of doctors, do tests, and have blood work done, it can be a really scary and unpleasant experience.
But even though being in that situation was really difficult for me at the time, I learned a lot from that:
I also learned that even though I was dealing with a health condition (which meant I had a lot of responsibility heaped onto my shoulders) I could still live my best life.
Flash forward 9 years later, and I’m happy, living my best life in Nova Scotia, Canada.
I was having the best soccer season yet; invited to Provincials, identified as a standout player, running a popular podcast and being the youngest reporter for the Canadian Premier League interviewing professional soccer players. I was devasted when without warning, I had the rug pulled out from under me.
It was another hard year.
Another year filled with doubt and uncertainty.
Another year that felt like my life was falling apart.
And yet, I rise despite the adversity - why?
Because I write my own story. And if I am the author of my own story, then I am going to write a good one. I’m not going to let external factors control me, or my life.
I noticed things usually have a way of working out and what I thought was the biggest problem in my life actually propelled me to what has been one of the greatest blessings in my life!

Me out for a walk in Portugal.
And flash forward to this very moment, I'm playing for a first-division club here in Portugal, and it's been an incredible journey.
I'm eating the most amazing Portuguese food, which has been a real treat, and I'm also coaching teen athletes helping them accomplish their goals, and constantly learning and growing in the process.
It's an amazing experience, and I'm grateful for being able to play soccer at a high level and coach teen athletes. 2 things I absolutely love. I love having the opportunity of being able to make a positive impact on my clients.
To get to know me better, here I am telling my story…
